This week the dog-kid spent time in her tent, in the pool and running in the city park. Finally, Xana's vaccination was complete and it was time to get out of the house and into the city life! The dog-kid walked a few steps further every day and aimed at the park, only 300m away, as the goal of the week.
Covid and sports
As mentioned before, the dog-kid is a track and field athlete who took a career break because of Covid. Unfortunately, there was no athletics in summer holidays either, but running with Xana in the park was a great opportunity to make both of them happy.
The first time she ran a tiny bit by herself and was completely out of breath already. With tears in her eyes, she mumbled: "Wow, how bad I've become. I have to practice every day now." Anyway she run a bit with Xana, too and both ended up super exhausted.
Xana, the surfing puppy
At home Xana drank a lot and rested afterwards. As in every warm day both of them ended up inside the pool in the afternoon. Xana could swim, but she wasn't amazed by water yet. The dog-kid complained a lot, because she wanted to stay longer in the pool and thus, after thinking hard, she found the perfect solution: Her board was awesome in order to make Xana relax next to her. After two days with skeptical looks towards the dog-kid, she started to relax on the board and watched the dog-kid playing.
Xana is not interested in going inside the house
It is understandable that Xana was no longer interested in our house because of her new adventures in the tent where both of them always sleep. She always runs confidently into the tent when she wants to be left alone or to hide. In the entrance of the tent there was a table with two chairs for the dog kid and in the inner part of the tent was a large and cozy mattress that offered enough space for both of them.
A little problem that needs a Veterinarian
Unfortunately, Xana had to go to the vet again because the dog-kid discovered a bump on the head of little Xana. The little bitch's head was itching too much - poor girl! It was an inflammation and the fur over the bump was shaved off. Now we had to disinfect the wound twice a day and apply ointment for a week!
